We will start early in the morning by private car to Isle of Mainau which is about 30 miles from our hotel. We take the way through Switzerland which is more scenic.
The Isle of Mainau is one of the most popular spots at Lake Constance it is a wonderful flower paradise, with really nice arrangements and a must for all fans of gardens.
The island is private owned and in the center lays the castle of the dukes of Bernadotte, who still live there. They are relatives of the Swedish King family.
And why not buy one of the beautiful hats designed by the Countess Diana of Bernadotte in her shop located in the castle.
Also very interesting to see the huge collection of living butterflies in a palm tree house. They also have a very nice playground for kids.
